Course Development Coordinator
Cengage Education is a leading distance education training provider, based in Artarmon, Sydney. We are seeking to appoint a Course Development Coordinator to join our Academic Higher Education team. Cengage Education offers a large number of units within the higher education program that undergo revision on a frequent basis. Units consist of unit guides, assessments, textbooks, readings and other learning materials in digital and print formats. The major responsibilities of this role are to coordinate the production and delivery of learning materials to agreed deadlines and to ensure these meet quality assurance standards.
You will be responsible for: • Coordinating the production and delivery of units to agreed standards and deadlines
• Quality assurance
• Assisting in the preparation of unit reviews and student assessment of units
• Providing training and support for all users (internal and external) in the use of the on-line Student Portal and the Repository.
• Regular reporting on status and product delivery
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Proven experience in the operations of higher education course development, maintenance and delivery
• Understanding of the learning and support requirements of staff and students in the delivery of education and in particular on-line distance learning
• Proven experience in project management and the supervision of contractors
• Appropriate undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications and/or experience in publishing, education and production
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and demonstrate superior problem solving ability
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A high level of computer literacy, ideally with experience in the use of Equella repository and learning management system software (Moodle)
